Every week, Our Closet sets up a pop-up clothing store that simulates a true shopping experience with tables, hanging racks, mirrors and a check out counter. Our store is volunteer-run, and individuals throughout the Greater Philadelphia region have generously donated the clothing we provide. There is no eligibility and customers are entitled to select up to 5 items free of charge. The store currently operates in partnership with community-based organizations throughout Philadelphia. We rely on clothing donations to sustain our pop-up shop. We collect gently used clothing, shoes, bags, accessories, and coats for men, women, and children, regardless of size or season. Please contact us to schedule a donation drop-off!

“This is my first time at Our Closet. I found a lot of things or my grandchildren- hats, gloves, and an outfit for the baby. I will definitely be back”
“Our Closet has enriched me beyond words and warmed me up. I got wonderful name brand items for free! I wish other people had not found out about this place and I could keep it all to myself!”
“Our Closet is awesome! I have been looking for clothes to keep me warm this winter and I found that here. Beautiful things for me and my daughter!”

“Our Closet showed me that I can not be too proud to get some help. Thank you- I am going to look nice and keep my job!”
“I have volunteered at Our Closet a couple of times. It was not until I stepped foot into Lift for the first time to volunteer at Our Closet that I was able to know why Jill has spent countless hours giving to others this way. These people were beyond appreciative of the generosity of everyone who had donated clothing and helped to better their lives.”
“The good feeling I get when looking into my cleaned out closet , is nothing compared to seeing others who need a little help, use the donated items. My experience while volunteering at My Closet was so rewarding, I felt like I needed to thank someone for letting me give back , a little. Such a great cause…..”
“Working at Our Closet has been an exceptionally worthwhile experience. I never felt unneeded or underutilized. My experience of feeling helpful to a community that is in need so very close to my own home has been truly rewarding. I find myself routing for so many to find jobs and housing and then thrilled when their dreams come true, I highly recommend volunteering, it’s a win win!”
“It is life changing to see how happy these individuals are to have these items of clothes.”
“Our Closet is a win win situation for everyone!! It’s so easy to be a volunteer. For me it was bringing 2 passions together. I love helping people and I love fashion. Every time I volunteer at Our Closet I meet new people each time who share their stories with me. At the end of their shopping experience they are walking out feeling so happy and proud that they can look good for church or work or even that job interview that is coming up. Like I said its a win win for everyone!”
“For it is in the giving that we receive.” As volunteers at Our Closet we give time and assistance. What we get in return is the gift that keeps on giving… To see a mother find a coat to warm her daughter for the winter; to witness the tears of a woman who found “just the right” interview suit; to see the pride in the man as he put on his new blazer…these are indelible memories from one Tuesday at Our Closet.”
